Choose two comparable observations

Read the dates and GBP amounts for the same model. The difference describes its recorded entry-price movement over that interval. It says nothing about prices before the first observation or a resale price you will receive.

Keep percentages tied to dates

A percentage change is useful only alongside its period. Do not multiply a monthly drop by twelve and present the result as an observed annual rate. Stock changes and the offers carrying the entry price can interrupt a trend.

Separate purchase price from ownership cost

Your ownership cost also includes the selected variant, accessories, any repair costs and the amount you eventually receive if you sell the phone. Price Radar records purchase entry prices, not your future resale value.

Use history as a constraint

  • Read the observation count, not only the endpoints.
  • Compare each model within its own UK series.
  • Avoid a forecast when the available history only describes past readings.
