Back Market UK grades: condition and price

The condition grade affects which offer you choose, while Price Radar records one entry price per model. Read the grade description on Back Market UK before comparing that price with your preferred configuration.

Read the UK descriptions

Back Market UK lists Fair, Good, Excellent and Premium condition options. Its descriptions distinguish appearance and, for some options, additional requirements. Use those descriptions rather than assuming another shop's grading labels mean the same thing.

Check the battery separately

Do not infer that a cosmetically cleaner device has a new battery. Read the selected battery option and its stated requirements. If a battery option costs extra, include that amount in your comparison.

Measure the premium on one configuration

Select the same model, capacity and colour, then change only the grade. The difference in the displayed offers tells you what the cleaner finish costs for that selection. It is not a universal surcharge that can be applied to other models.

Choose for how you use the phone

  • Inspect the description of acceptable marks on the screen and casing.
  • Decide whether visible wear matters once you use a case.
  • Save the condition description with your order.
  • Check the delivered phone against what you bought.
