What these figures do not say
- The recorded price is an entry price: the cheapest configuration available that day, usually the smallest storage and the most marked cosmetic grade. It is not the price of one specific unit.
- Two readings a day: a move that happens and reverses between two readings is invisible.
- A rise is not always a rise. The displayed price is the cheapest offer of the moment; when the seller holding it runs out of stock, the price climbs without anyone raising it.
- Countries are not comparable with one another: no currency conversion is ever performed.
- The history is recent. It places a price against the past few weeks; it cannot establish a yearly depreciation curve.
