Prices are recorded once or twice a day. Every product page shows the date and time of the latest observation, so you know exactly when the data was collected.

This deliberately moderate pace keeps us respectful of the source site while still giving an accurate picture of the market.

No, and we never promise that. Back Market prices change with the seller, the stock and the cosmetic grade: the price we recorded last can differ from the one shown when you visit.

Always check the final price on Back Market before buying. Our data is there to place an offer within its history, not to guarantee an amount.

Yes. Browsing price histories and creating price alerts are free, with no account to create and no limit on the number of alerts.

No. Price Radar is an independent price-tracking tool. This site is not operated by Back Market and is not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.

Yes. Each country has its own collection, its own currency and its own history: US prices come from Back Market US, French prices from Back Market France.

No amount is ever converted between countries. An iPhone does not cost the same in New York and in Paris, and that is not only about exchange rates: they are two different stocks, two different competitive markets and two different tax regimes. The country selector at the top of the page always shows which market you are looking at.

From a model's page, enter the price at which you want to be notified, then your email address. You get a confirmation message, then an alert as soon as the condition is met.

The alert is tied to the country of the page you created it on. You can track the same model in the US and in France: those are two separate alerts, each in its own currency.

Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Your address is used for that alert only and is never shared with anyone else.

We track the “starting from” price shown on the iPhone category page of Back Market US. That is the model's entry price, across all storage capacities, colours and cosmetic grades.

In practice this almost always corresponds to the smallest storage capacity available, in the most affordable cosmetic grade offered at the time of the reading.

Three main reasons: stock has changed since our last reading, a seller has updated their offer, or you are looking at a different variant from the one carrying the entry price (larger capacity, better cosmetic grade).

Shipping costs, temporary promotions and discount codes can also create a gap.

We compare today's price with the prices recorded over the past 90 days, on the same market. If the current price falls within the lowest 12% of that range we call it a great price; up to 35%, a good price; up to 70%, an average price; above that, a high price.

We deliberately do not use the entire history for this: a product that depreciates continuously would otherwise always show as “at its lowest”, which helps nobody decide.

The rule is intentionally simple and public: it is spelled out on our methodology page, and you can always check it yourself on the chart.

We publish no cross-country comparison, and that is deliberate. Converting a French price into dollars would produce a misleading figure: it accounts for neither VAT, nor import duty, nor warranty, nor the simple fact that the offer is not available from the other country.

What you can do is move between markets with the country selector: from a US page you land on the same model's French page whenever it exists.

Yes, and it helps: suggestions decide the order in which we add new models. Use the suggestion form, giving the model you want and, if you have it, the matching Back Market link.

Not yet. Tracking covers a single price per model, the one listed as the entry price. Per-capacity tracking is planned, but we would rather show one reliable, clearly defined figure than a mass of uncertain series.

Report it. The report form lets you tell us which model is affected and what you saw. Anomalies are checked by hand, and a clearly wrong observation can be removed from the history.

On Back Market US, our earliest stored observation dates from August 19, 2026. Every product page shows how many readings we hold and the date of the first observation available for that model.

Models are added over time, so a recently added model shows a shorter history than the others.

If you create an alert, we keep your email address, the model, the country and the threshold you chose, solely to send you that alert. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, which deletes the associated data.
