Separate charge level from maximum capacity

Apple describes maximum capacity relative to a new battery. It does not measure your runtime in hours: workload, network and settings affect consumption. Phones with the same displayed percentage may last differently in your day. Apple's cycle design references are not a guarantee of remaining service life for a particular used device.

Read the exact order's promise

Back Market's local quality page describes its commitments, but also check the options selected on the order: standard battery, replacement option, exclusions and support process. Cosmetic grade does not establish battery health. Save the minimum capacity or written promise at purchase rather than relying on an advertisement remembered later.

Record what the phone reports on arrival

In iPhone Battery settings, inspect the health information available for that model and iOS version. Record the result, date and any battery or parts messages. Missing information does not itself prove fraud, but it is a reason to ask the seller for clarification. An ordinary-use check supplements this record; it does not replace comparison with the promised condition.

Compare the cost of a battery option

Compare the option's extra charge with an actual replacement quote for that model and service conditions. Check the proposed parts and the scope of each service. Do not translate a few capacity percentage points into a fixed number of months: there is no universal conversion for your usage.

Document a mismatch

Keep the order confirmation, option description, dated screenshots and correspondence. Check return and warranty terms before arranging a separate repair.
